Credentials and Patient Safety
Before you let anyone treat your spine or your knee, you are entitled to know exactly who they are, what they are qualified to do, and what they will do when your problem is not one they should be treating.
Who will treat you
BPT, MPT (Orthopaedics)
Founder. 14 years of clinical practice across India and the USA. Treats orthopaedic, spinal and women's health cases.
BPT, MPT (Neurology)
Neurological rehabilitation, including stroke recovery, balance and vestibular work.
Every clinician on this page holds a Master of Physiotherapy in the specialisation they practise. You are not handed to an assistant after the first visit.
Asking for a female physiotherapist
This is one of the things patients most often search for before calling a clinic, and it is a reasonable thing to want. Modern Physio was founded by Dr. Surabhi Bansal, a female physiotherapist, and she treats at the clinic.
If you would prefer to be assessed and treated by a woman, tell us when you call and we will book you with her. This matters particularly for pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum care, and you never have to explain why you are asking.
What happens in the room
- We explain what we are about to examine and why, before we touch you.
- You may bring a family member or friend in with you for any assessment or treatment session, and you can ask for that at any point.
- You can stop a technique at any time. Physiotherapy should be uncomfortable at worst, never something you have to endure in silence.
- Treatment couches and equipment are cleaned between patients, and single-use consumables are not reused.
When we send you somewhere else
Physiotherapy is the right answer for a great many musculoskeletal problems and the wrong answer for some. We screen at the first visit for presentations that need another opinion first, including unexplained weight loss, night pain that does not settle with position, sudden loss of bladder or bowel control, progressive neurological weakness, and signs of infection or fracture.
If any of those show up, or if the pattern simply does not fit something physiotherapy treats, we say so at that visit and tell you what kind of specialist to see. You will have paid for one consultation and you will leave knowing more than you came with.
What we will not claim
- We do not publish cure claims, success percentages, or a promised recovery time. Outcomes vary by person and by diagnosis.
- We do not sell blocks of visits, so nobody here has a reason to keep you coming after you no longer need to. Fees are on the fees page.
- Patient reviews on this site are real, sourced from Google and Practo, and attributed to the people who wrote them.
- Clinical pages carry a medically reviewed byline. How that works is described in our medical review process.
Questions patients ask before booking
Is a physiotherapist a doctor?+
Yes. A physiotherapist holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and, in our team's case, a Master of Physiotherapy in a clinical specialisation. Physiotherapists are primary-contact practitioners: they assess, diagnose within their scope and treat without needing a referral.
Can I be treated by a female physiotherapist?+
Yes. Modern Physio was founded by Dr. Surabhi Bansal, a female physiotherapist, and she treats patients at the clinic. If you would prefer a female practitioner, say so when you call and we will book you with her.
Can someone stay in the room during my examination?+
Yes. You may bring a family member or friend into the treatment room for any assessment or session, and you can ask for that at any point without giving a reason.
What if physiotherapy is not the right treatment for me?+
We tell you. Some presentations need imaging, medication or a surgical opinion before physiotherapy is appropriate, and some need it instead of physiotherapy. If your assessment points that way, we say so at that visit and tell you what kind of specialist to see.
Do you guarantee that I will recover?+
No, and you should be wary of any clinic that does. Recovery depends on the diagnosis, how long the problem has been there, and what you do between visits. What we can commit to is telling you honestly what we think is wrong and whether we can help.
If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to ask about a specific concern before booking, call or message us and ask.
